The two formats have similar front-face mounting dimensions, but different thicknesses. A 12038 fan is typically around 38 mm thick, while a 12025 fan is around 25 mm thick. Because the motor, impeller, frame structure and speed may differ, airflow, static pressure, noise and power consumption can also differ significantly. A 12038 fan should not automatically be considered 'better' than a 12025 fan. The correct choice depends on required airflow, system resistance, installation space and other operating conditions.
